The 14th edition ofu Annual gala of the Jean-Talon Hospital Foundation raises $500,000
On November 4, at the Ritz-Carlton Montreal Hotel, the Jean-Talon Hospital Foundation held its 14th annual Gala, raising $500,000 for the purchase of a stereotactic-guided breast biopsy machine for the Jean-Talon Hospital Radiology Department. This new device will enable patients to benefit from the same type of state-of-the-art medical equipment used in major university centers.
250 guests, including many generous partners and donors, came together to make this an exceptional event that will have a major impact on Jean-Talon Hospital patients, Local Service Network (LSN) users and the entire Villeray Petite-Patrie community.
Under the honorary presidency of Mr. Serge Savard, partner at MSA Messier Savard et Associés, the Gala, masterfully hosted by host and columnist Mr. Michel Beaudry, offered its distinguished guests a festive and emotionally rich experience, combining gastronomy, entertainment and musical ambience by Sandy Duperval.
In addition, Dr. Donald Eddé, Chairman of the CMDP Executive Committee and Head of Radiology at Jean-Talon Hospital, presented a summary of the hospital's medical and surgical activities over the past 12 months. He also presented a touching tribute to the biography of Mr. Serge Savard, much to the surprise of the latter and the delight of the evening's guests.
On this occasion, a tribute was paid to Mr. Savard in recognition of his brilliant career in the world of field hockey, the 30 years since the Montreal Canadiens last won the Stanley Cup under his direction, and his philanthropic involvement in various causes, including the HJT Foundation.
